Deepika Padukone ´walked out of Race 2 for Hollywood f

Producer Ramesh Taurani has accused Deepika Padukone of leaving the shooting of Race 2 after she had been offered a major Hollywood film.

The star had already completed six days of shooting on the action thriller sequel when she abandoned the project, reports Mumbai Mirror.

"At around 3pm, she called to say that she wouldn´t be able to keep the appointment. However, her manager would be present on her behalf. Finally, when the manager arrived, he simply told me that Deepika wouldn´t be able to do our film. And that´s because she is doing a major Hollywood project."

The former model had reportedly delayed the film last year over her wages for the part and the scheduling of her dates.

Taurani vented: "I have been a part of the Hindi cinema industry for 25 years. I have made several blockbusters. I have worked with famous actresses like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Vidya Balan and Kareena Kapoor. But I have never faced a situation like this before."

Stars from the 2008 original Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor are joined by John Abraham, Sanjay Dutt, Amisha Patel and Jacqueline Fernandez in the follow-up.
