Sabras Radio rolls out Navratri plans


Sabras Radio has announced its plans for Navratri, which kick off later this week.

The popular Midlands based Asian radio station, will broadcast a 60-minute Garba Dandia Mix show at 19:00 every weeknight during Navratri from Monday 12th October. The 1-hour slot will consist of Bollywood songs and popular Gujarati numbers non-stop.

Also, like last year, the station has lined-up a special three-hour free event at its studios on Sunday 18th October to celebrate the occasion. The event hosted by Shobha Joshi, along with other Sabras Radio presenters, will air between 14:00 and 17:00. It will feature singer Rajendra Pala from India, live band by Vikram Nizama and group from India, the winner of the recently held Ras Garba competition – Maher Girls, Sajan Odedra and many other community artists. The event will be broadcast on-air and via a special webcast where viewers can watch the show anywhere around the world via the Sabras Radio website.

Our next event for Navratri has been put together to celebrate the colours and life of Gujarat. We will be holding a special free event at our studios on Sunday 18th October, plus giving a listeners a daily musical treat with a special one-hour dandia mix show!”

Sabras Radio recently celebrated its 20th year of broadcasting with a sold-out lavish dinner and dance for its listeners, advertisers and supporters.
